Women's Multi-Caliber Experience

About this experience

ATS-Midland will be hosting a women's multi-caliber shooting event at its private range.  Address will be emailed to registered participants prior to the event.  The attendees will be able to shoot several different calibers and models of pistols.  Calibers available to shoot are .22 LR, .380 Auto, .38 Special, and 9 MM.  Models include Ruger LCR, Sig P238, Glock 44, and 19.  Women who have their own pistol are encouraged to bring that to the event.  The private range is outdoors and attendees will shoot from the comfort of a heated tent.  Each hour-long session will be limited to two women.  The instructors will work with each student to teach or improve range safety knowledge, basic firearms and handling skills.  This drill will help teach how to manage different calibers and provide an opportunity to test different styles of handgun to assist in selecting a personal protection weapon.  Women will also be instructed on proper technique to shoot from a purse.  This training will showcase how the techniques learned on the simulators can be validated at the live range.
