About this experience

The Firearms Basic Course will provide you with an introduction to firearms, safe handling, range safety, cleaning and maintenance.  The course is available for up to 4 students.  You can bring your own unloaded pistol to the digital range for disassembly and cleaning instruction.  The following skills will be taught:



  • Safety

  • Situational awareness

  • Range rules and etiquette

  • How semi-auto pistols work

  • How revolvers work

  • Disassembly of firearms (field stripping)

  • Cleaning and lubrication

  • Ammunition types and self-defense uses
