About this experience

This ATS Academy course will help develop the basic skills needed during a self-defense encounter.  The class is offered as a digital range session or a live fire session at our private live fire range.  Rental pistols are available for use in this class.  The rental price is for up to 4 students.  The following skills will be taught: 



  • Situational awareness

  • Engaging targets with both strong-side and support-side hands

  • Single hand magazine changes

  • Application of tourniquet while engaging target

  • Controlled pairs in cardiac triangle with pelvic girdle follow-on shot drills

  • Dealing with malfunctions from complex shooting stances

  • Proficiency check and skills assessment
